Oberon's thoughts on his legacy-mates, to be updated as relevant
[???] Flow Volere
serenityevades: When Natirru had said there was a Jedi he should probably get to know, when he taught him a common Republic accent and arranged for him to be among the spies on board the Republic luxury ship
Esseles (a Jedi being on the passenger manifest made it very easy to convince them that putting a Sith on board was a good idea), he did not expect what he found. Someone a bit like him, still finding his way in a galaxy he had been sheltered from. Someone not at all like him, raised to see the best in it instead of fearing the worst. And someone who seems incapable of true deception, someone who speaks his mind before even his mind itself is done with its thoughts. He decided immediately he didn't want to kill Flow, and when Flow followed his lead in resuming his charade as a normal passenger, despite the literally unthinking ease with which he could expose him, he also decided it was worth seeing him again. He and Flow have had a few more duels by now, none of them with the intent to kill - without any malice on his side, Flow seems perfectly happy to do the same, and they're more practice partners than true rivals. They are both more skilled for it, and Oberon is enjoying himself - he likens it to a cat toying with its prey to any curious Imperials, though the truth is closer to a cat playing with a toy or another cat... He's kind of confused about it, himself. He does know one thing for sure: Just as he would be ill-suited to the life of a Jedi, Flow would make a horrible Sith. He does
not want to corrupt him. He would rather the other remain alive and unbroken.
Abric Solari
starcrossedscoundrel: He doesn't know much about Abric, in all honesty. Natirru has told him about having been married, and he knows Abric made him very happy. He saw him briefly in Flow's company on the
Esseles, but his attention had been on Flow. Flow seems to look up to him, and he seems to serve the same caring guidance for Flow that Natirru does for him in this galaxy he had never been allowed to know.
[ALLY] Natirru
starcrossedspy: The loving parental figure he thought was a myth for so long. Natirru showed him compassion and kindness at a crucial moment, saw the signs of abuse and took him in. He feels bad for his own impaired appetite, because Natirru's cooking is wonderful and he genuinely wants him to be healthy, but he just can't bring himself to eat too much. Natirru got into Imperial Intelligence after his job for his mother, and Oberon worries for him, but is grateful for the connections it gives him that allows him to protect him. He is afraid, however, that not even Intelligence can save him if his parents discover where he is and how he has been influenced. With his guidance and his mid-duel talks with Flow, he inches ever closer to being true to himself without fear of retaliation. He loves Natirru dearly and would give his life to protect him in return - his first pure thought of selflessness, and what drew him to perfecting the Immortal specialization. (Natirru's desire to nurture and protect him, naturally, complement this well.)
